Hello-
I have a question regarding my Tascam US-144. I used to use this on my PC and have recently purchased a Macbook. I am using Ableton to record MIDI from my keyboard. I have the keyboard plugged into the Tascam and I have that connected to the Macbook through the USB. I am having no problems with recording audio, although I keep having a problem with trying to record MIDI. Ableton recognizes the Tascam and it appears in the track. I start playing the keyboard and the signal appears (MIDI). The problem that I am having is if I stop playing the keyboard for any period of time, the MIDI signal no longer appears and I cannot record. I have to restart Ableton in order for it to recognize the signal again. (Although sometimes it won't even recognize the signal at all).
Is there any way that anyone can give me advice of how to solve this problem? I would appreciate it.
