Problem with Sonar 4 producer inputs

I am using Cakewalk sonar 4 producer edition and just got a SB X-fi card (i know, SB sucks) and I am going through the line in off the drive bay box. I get audio out of my speakers, no problem. But I cannot get sound into Sonar. I have tried every sound in settings but i get no wav on the channel and a flat line with no sound on playback. My midi ports in the same drive bay box play midi into a track with no problem but i cannot get audio into Sonar.
Again, i get sound out of the speakers fine.

Any help would be appreciated.
 
Have you profiled your soundcard and enabled the proper inputs/outputs?

Have you checked the section in the manual that explains this?
 
LOL...Can you say NOOB??? I checked all my settings and under recording properties line-in 1 was selected but my front panel line-in is line-in 2...I changed it and all is well....thanks a lot
