Problem with panning in Groove Agent ONE

I'm using Cubase Studio 5 with Groove Agent ONE.


Okay, I have this problem where the panning of a certain pad changes as the song is played. A hand clap sample that is intended to stay at 50% Right changes at certain points to 65% Right to 100% Left at other points, etc. Furthermore, the panning of that particular pad is locked in place so I can't change it.

What is the culprit of this problem and what can be done about it?

I figured it out: I must have had write automation on.

At least I figured out what that feature was for via this misstep.
