Problem with Music Creator 2003 and Delta 1010LT

I recently co-purchased an M-Audio Delta 1010LT PCI Digital Audio System. For those of you who are not familiar with this piece of equipment, I will explain it briefly. Basically, this card plugs into your PCI slot of your motherboard and it has two ports on the back: one for inputs, and one for outputs. It has 10 of each. You screw in a little dangly connector to each port, and there are your inputs and outputs. If you want a picture of this doohickey, go go here:

Anyway, my problem is this: I also recently purchased Music Creator 2003 for the purpose of recording my band through the Delta 1010. One problem.. the drop down menu for the audio input in MC2003 only allows me to pick one of those 10 inputs on my Delta 1010, and not the card itself. I thought maybe if I could pick the card as my audio input, I could select one of the 10 inputs for each track and I'd be able to record my band simultaneously.. but it didn't work out that way. Thus, the card, as far as I know, is basically as useful as any old soundcard that I could've purchased for $10. Can anyone tell me how to do this correctly, or if it is impossible to do with MC2003, suggest some good (and hopefully affordable) software? Assistance would be greatly appreciated. Think about it.. if you help me, you might listen to my awesome band in a few years. :oP

Does Music Creator Pro allow you to record more than one input?

ACKUS3 - Check out the Sonar demo - does that work for you?

Q.

I'm not sure about Music Creator Pro. With 2003, if you select your basic sound card as the input and plug a mic into it or something, you can open up a couple of tracks and set Track 1's input as left and Track 2's input as right. As far as selecting more than one audio input, I haven't been able to do it. That's what I want to do. :( I'll check out the SONAR demo.

I downloaded the SONAR 2.2 demo. Layout is almost identical to Music Creator 2003. I'm not sure if it allows for what I need or not. My Delta 1010 is installed in another computer which is not here, conveniently. Anyway, I looked up Music Creator Pro on Cakewalk's site, and it says, "record your whole band simultaneously with support for multichannel audio cards." That is what I need, support for multichannel audio cards. Somehow, I doubt Music Creator 2003 offers that. I bet I wasted $40. :D

Probably not - can't you upgrade it to Sonar for cheaper than retail?
Or at least to HomeStudio 2004 if you don't have the cash... ;)

I found out that, since I'm a registered Music Creator customer, I can get Music Creator Pro for $40. The combined cost of Pro's $40 plus MC2003's $40 is less than it would have been if I had bought Pro to begin with ($110), so I guess things haven't turned out so bad after all. :)

Believe me, the Delta 1010LT in SONAR is alot better than *censored* in *censored*... :D :D :D

Believe me, the Delta 1010LT in SONAR is alot better than a SB Live! in SONAR... :D :D :D

I read that Music Creator Pro supports up to four audio inputs from a multichannel audio card (like the 1010LT). Does anyone know how many inputs Home Studio 2004 supports? I'm weighing my options.
