I am running Cubasis through an Echo MIA. I'm trying to run my Boss DR_5 and my electric drums in to a Midiman USB interface. I cannot get any sound out of the midi devices. The transport bar shows input and output for the MIDI but no GM sound. I only get sound if i switch the output to one of the Cubasis instruments. Any thoughts?

Sounds to me like you need to configure your midi device to responded to external midi messages.

For my DR-202 I have to change the Midi Out Assign to EXT when
I am slaving from the computer. When I am recording I set it to INT or INT-EXE...I can't quite remember. But play with that a bit.
Also, make sure you are sending the midi data to the right port.
Go to Options > Midi Devices and select the correct IN's and OUT's.
But be careful, you can get echo if you are sending a recieving from the same device at the same time.
Also make sure you select the right port in the track Out field and then also the right midi channel, usually 10 for Drums and 2 for Bass. You can check on your drum machine to see what channel it is set to.

Good Luck.
