Hi guys, sorry if I'm bothering you with simple stuff, but I'm new to all of this so I need a big help here, because I just can't solve the problem by my self, and I've been staring in the monitor all day long. Now, here's my problem:

In cubase four, when I insert audio track, it works just fine, and I can hear it in the output, but when I insert MIDI track, prerecorded or with the Kore player, there's nothing. I applied VST instruments on the prerecorded track, the meter is glowing, showing activity, but still no sound. I tried to access the MIDI setup on the "device setup" menu, and here' s what I found:

I can't change anything in the output section, the channels are all visible, but I can't activate them. I read here on this forum that I should set it in the VST setup first, but I simply don' know how.

Here is the current VST setup:

Can somebody help me to solve the problem, please? Thanks in advance.

In the VST System i have "Not Connected" on ASIO Input and ASIO Output.

Ok, step by step. To add a VST Instrument.

Way 1

1) Add a MIDI Track.
2) Press F11 and select your VST Instrument.
3) In the MIDI Track select your output source, in this case, the VST Instrument. If you are using a MIDI Controller the Input Routing should say your controller or "All Midi Inputs".

Way 2

1) Add an Instrument track and select your VST Instrument in the pop up window.
2) That's it.

Isnt there a midi setup on the Midi pulldown? Think you need to select an out there.
