Just got the SC2, and I've inserted it into my mackie stereo buss inserts. The soundfield is wider and the stereo image is nicer, but there seems to be some "holes" in the sound (phase?). Doesn't sound right - if you move your head between the monitors back and forth, it seems like the sound is coming from outside the speakers at times. I've got the unit going through my patch bay. Maybe a funky connection there?

Something's amiss. Hope the unit is OK. Anyone else experience this?

figured it out. It's out of phase. When I hit the mono check button, the stereo mix disappears...

easy fix for this?

Check the cables to make sure they are not the source of the problem. If one of the SC 2 outputs actually has reversed polarity, the easiest solution is just to create a patch cable where you switch the wires on pins 2 & 3 (at one end only!) Mark it with some red tape or something so you don't accidently use it for something else someday. Use it on one of the outputs and things should be fine.

If you have a little more confidence, you could always open up the SC 2 and try switching the pin 2 & 3 connections on one of the output jacks.

But make sure it is the SC2 that is at fault first! Check everything else in the signal chain!

Oh, and if it is a brand new unit, you may want to call Meek for an authorized service center in your area before opening it up, so that you don't void the warranty.
