This problem has been happening to me each I try to record onto my computer.
First off I'm using Cool Edit Pro (which blows), and recording directly into the back of the computer. I was recording from the direct out on the back of my Marshall Valvestate head into both the line in, and mic inputs on the computer on different occassions. Both times when I played back what I had recorded, there was a clean sound playing overtop of the desired distortion sound. I was recording directly in with a Metal Zone pedal and this happened as well.
Does anyone have any idea what may be causing this, and if so, any solutions?
