Ok im setting up my studio, just bought got all the hardware/software. I have a question. My i have 20 feet microphone cords which goes from the mic to the preamp/mixer , Also I have headphones which goes to the preamp/mixer, but my recording booth is a lil farther away from the computer/keyboard/and etc. My mic preamp has to be close to my computer hence it connects to the soundcard. But how do I get my headphones to come long enough to go into the studio booth the microphone cord is long enough. But How could I get the headphones to reach, anything I connect it to , to make it reach... Need urgent help...

How bout a permanent cable install close to your output source to a mounted connection in the booth. Then all you need to do is plug in the phones when you need em in there.

Yeah, get a couple of 20' headphone extension cords! The signal's not going to the sound card, so you can use cheap ones if you want. My headphone extensions are the only HOSA cables in the studio, and they work just fine for about $10.-Richie
