Problem ripping tracks that will play in Sonar 4

Hi all,

When I rip songs from a cd they go directly to the Windows Media Player library as WMA files. These won't open in Sonar Home Studio 4. I want to rip them as wav files that will open in Sonar so I can remaster them. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
