I use Cakewalk 8.0 Pro Audio and the first version of the Gina by Echo (ordered it before it was released). When recording vocals through a single mic, but run through my Digitech Studio Quad V2 effects processor (with a stereo effect), Cakewalk only records a single track of audio. I arm two channels, pan one left and the other right, and select the Gina 1 / 2 as the source. Due to this problem, I tend to record vocals in Cool Edit Pro, but I would really love to use Cakewalk for vocals. (My only use for Cakewalk now is MIDI sequencing - I record hip-hop/rap). Yes, using the same signal path, Cooledit Pro records correctly.
My production company has worked on several indie CDs (released by several companies), and people tend to love our music, but…oh, what could be done with some basic problems worked-out.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.
