Hi all,

Quick question. My son went off to school and donated his old MBOX and software to me so that I could record some music in my freetime. I am running an 2009 iMac with OSX 10.6.5 and have successfully loaded ProTools 7.3 with the bug fix update making it 7.3.1.

My issue is with the MBOX. I know that it is supposed to be supported with ProTools versions up to 8.0.1, I believe. When I plug it in to the USB, it lites up, showing that it's receiving power. But whenever I toggle between the sources (mic, line, inst) the peaking light turns on for both channels 1 and 2.

And now, I can't even login to Protools without getting some message prompting me about something called "Digitranslator" authorization, which of course I cannot find either:eek: When I click cancel I'm then prompted with an error message reading "digidesign harware is either not installed or in use by another application. (-9014)

Does anyone know of any solutions to this issue that I am blatantly missing?? Do I have to upgrade to a newer MBOX? Downgrade to Protools 6.9(which I have the disc for as well)?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Truly,

Cliff:)
