Problem!!!! 'L' shaped room!

Well I have recieved my 2 dozen OC 703 and began making wall panels, bass traps and ceiling panels. With just 7 panels and 3 bass traps set up (planning on 22 total in all) I noticed a little difference in the console area but when stepping back and clapping I can hear the flutter echo get worse and worse from the stair well.

What could I do to stop the stair well echo?? Im open minded for anything.

Build a wall with a solid-core door and good weatherstripping.

Or treat the stairwell.

Who knows, treated it might make an interesting space.

If it is impractical to have a door (not enough swing room or landing space, etc. Try a heavy curtain across the end of the stairway.

Ill get some pictures up soon to get a better idea of whats going on. Framing in a door may be tricky but could be done. I could try treating it, but do you think a heavy curtain would do? Its just a flutter echo that needs to be eliminated in the stair well. How much would a heavy curtain cost? It jsut needs to be atleast 6 feet wide and 8 feet tall.
