Problem importing aduio

I am importing an mp3 file to Cubase. When I go to play it back its sounds about 20% faster than the original..

probably a sample rate issue. adjust it.

You're project is set to 48khz, but your not converting the mp3 files from 44.1khz to 48khz, so Cubase thinks the files are 48khz, and therefor plays them too high and too fast.
