i'm have a problem exporting to mp3, it keeps telling me that i don't have the right sample rate and bit depth for my project how do i change this so i can export.
yes i have the full version. i'm running sonar XL 2.1. i'm guessing there's just a setting issue. i go into options > audio and change the sample rate and bit depth but still can't export.

What have you recorded your original tracks as.. I'm not too sure if you need to either do a sample rate conversion (Khz) or dithering (bit) down to 16bit/44.1Khz to make an mp3... could someone shed some light... personally I use Sound Forge to create my mp3's (ie create a wav file from Sonar).
Well I was having untold problems last night exporting an audio file to MP3.
After several attempts it dawned on me that the MP3 encoder with CakeWalk HomeStudio doesn't like spaces in the file name!
So BPOM CWR.MP3 wouldn't work, even though I didn't get any error messages! It happily went through the whole process, even asking me for bit depth and sampling rates... When I looked for the MP3, it simply wasn't where it should have been.
When I tried BPOM_CWR.MP3, bingo! We were in business.
However, I certainly did get the opportunity to change the bit depth and sample rates with the encoder program, had I wanted to.
