I bought Neutrik TS connectors and Mogami 2524 cables for my guitar, however they sound ETREMELY dull and lifeless. My $20 groove cable sounds better. I used 60 lead/40 tin soder.

WHen I compared my cable to a store bought Mogami cable w/gold connectors, the store bought cable sounded better then mine and they were the same cable exept for the gold.

Why does my cables sound so bad? Is it the soder I used?

I'd suggest you take apart the store bought mogami cable and see what is different about their cable than yours. I do this all the time when building a new type of cable, it's the best way to learn. Check the wiring, the solder, how much solder they used, etc. The cables should sound the same, the gold connector shouldn't make that much of a difference.

My first thought is that you might not be making a good connection between the wire and the connector. Like if the end of the wire is floating on a huge glob of solder and not making contact, or making enough contact with the surface of the connector.
