Hi, I want to change software to pro tools which version do i need on Windows XP cause i heard not many work on XP Thanks

i hate how people like to give incorrect information to others....anyway, both TDM and LE versions of pro tools will work with XP. you need to take a look at 002 or Mbox if you want to go the pro tools route.

Lik eBenny said, all Pro Tools LE versions come with a XP compatible version.

Yup- PT LE is equally stable on Mac and Windows. Used 'em both. Current WinXP version is 6.4. I think 5.3 also worked with XP, if you are looking for an earlier version, but I'd *highly* recommend getting 6.4.

Take care,
Chris

The software itself or as part of a complete package? (example...Digi 002 with pro tools)

could be wrong but i don't think you can just get pro tools software alone. Maybe there is a stripeed down freebie verion out there but for the most part you need to buy their hardware to get the software (pretty clever eh?)
the cheapest route to go is the mbox (i think) which is pretty cool.

exactly what I was getting at ;)

nope...if you want the software, you gotta use the hardware. if you just want the hardware, you get the software too (but can use the hardware on other things)
