Hi.
I've been lately stuttering on what to get. I have 7 months to come up with the solution until I can finally get what I want.
So I was thinking the Mbox (which I believe only has 2 ins) and the Firepod.

I have a pretty decent computer.
p4 3.2ghz hyper threading
1gig ddr2
2 80gig 7200rpm
radeon 9800xt

I also understand that you need a firewire port (but my mobo doesnt have the ports on it)
So, being that, I guess I have to get one of those PCI cards that have firewire ports in order to hook the Firepod on it.

I mainly want to record one-man-band stuff. I'm paying close attention to drum recording. I was going to get the Mbox and have a tough time mixing drums with 2 tracks (toms, snare, bass combined and the cymbals). But when I saw firepod, it got me all thinking. So here I am, down the low. Please help. It would be greatly appreciated.
;)

Personally I'd go for the Firepod esp if you're thinking about drums where you'll need a minimum of 3 inputs. 8 beats 2 in any game

Yeah I was thinking about the Firepod as well, its seems like a great setup in terms of investment (at a reasonable price)
