Pro-tools M-powered, LE, and HD

Is there a difference between these 3 versions. What i mean is if i opt to go with M-powered and use an M-audio interface in stead of buying a digirack and using LE. Or is the software the same all around?
 
LE and MP are basically the same, accept that the complete production toolkit is only for LE (for post production). HD is a totally different animal, tied to specific hardware and is MUCH more expensive.
 
So LE would obviously be worth going for should i have the money.
 
MP has more options for different (not necessarily better) hardware, LE has more options for software expansion. IMO, the LE interfaces are quite good.

Actually, LE is also tied to certain hardware, as is MP ;)




To the OP, I suggest you read the sticky, everything is explained there concerning hardware interfaces and the different version of PT :)
