No problem Matthew:

First let me just explain that pro tools LE does not compensate for the delay that is caused by the amount of time it takes for your basses audio to become "digitized" by your computer IE: Latency.

There is a way that you can get it low enough for it to not matter much:

First you want this menu:

Then in this screen (which might look different than mine):

You want to lower your buffer setting down as low as you can.

If you do that and your computer yells at you (you get an error message after recording or playback) then your computer won't keep up. To combat this turn off all your plugins execpt maybe the click track (hold down option alt/option+command and click on them) and try again.

If your computer still won't do it then you may have to resort to turning that HW buffer setting back up a little. I would try to stay at 256 or below though.

i have a pro tools LE on windows 7 and i was wondering how to up load plug-ins. i have an SSL waves plug-in that i would like to insert in the track board how do i go about doing this ? thanks
