Pro Tools LE and Mackie Control...

Does anyone know if Pro Tools LE can be operated with the Mackie Control?

A friend of mine got a Mac and Digidesign's Digi 001 interface but he's using it through a big Tascam mixer and it's not the easiest thing in the world.

We've seen the new Digidesign control surface but we might want to expand later on. Mackie allows for this, and I think Emagic has one also.

Can anyone shed some light on the topic?

i'm not sure if it works or not. it should. check mackie's website (www.mackie.com)

but that control surface is beautiful. i want one so bad. but it's just too damn expensive. sucks. maybe it will come down in price next year
