"Hi, I'm in Delaware."
So I've been using Pro Tools at school, so I thought I'd get an academic-priced M-powered version (not bad at $150) which suits all my needs, but I noticed that it says Pro Tools requires compatible hardware to function. I hadn't thought about this when I ordered it, but I did order compatible hardware for my desktop, which is at home where I will be doing my recording. But I have my laptop at school, where I am most of the time, so it would be nice to edit my stuff here, but I'm not sure I can do that without buying more hardware. Is that true? And if so, it shouldn't matter how many channels the thing I get for my laptop has vs. how many I have at home, right? Because I'd probably just get the cheapest thing I can on ebay just so I can use it. Kinda like a dongle, only functional... Thanks.
