I am tired of rebooting my PC to go between linux and w98SE.
I am thinking of running Pro Tools Free in a vmware vm (virtual machine). The only concern I have is that as vmware will not give direct hardware access to w98 (in the vm) to the hardware, there may be latency when recording. I guess this would mean that recording subsequent tracks they would not be in sync with the tracks recorded previously.
Has anyone tried running Pro Tools Free in a vmware vm on a linux box?
