Hey, probally a issue with my lack of knowledge, but I just uploaded protools 10 on my macbook pro and got the up to driver for the mbox 2 mini installed, but when i open up a session and click on Setup-Hardware- launch app under protools ag to get to the screen with the mbox mini, i have set it up as an input( i think), but when I go to record in a session the only options under the input list on the track are the built in microphones and the 2 built in inputs... Any ideas on how I can get it to list the mbox so I can start recording guitars ect???????? THanks :/
Never had to set up the protools, always worked on computers that already had it up and running...

Instead of Setup/Hardware, go to Setup/Playback engine and select the mbox there.

If your I/O doesn't set by default then go to Setup/IO and delete all ins and outs, then hit default for both tabs.

Awesome thx! Now I am getting it to read the mbox... Any ideas on how you get the keyboard commands to work? When I hit command space bar the spotlight finder on my mac comes up and I ant get the track to start recording. Sorry man, I feel like a dunce!!!!!

Nah, I never bothered looking into the shortcut overlaps.
I just go to window/transport then click record and then play.

I suppose you could turn off the spotlight shortcut in system preferences/spotlight.
I wouldn't want to though.
