pro to0ols or studio one pro

I am just getting into this. I have an Asus - Essentio Desktop / AMD Phenom™ II X4 Processor / 6GB Memory / 1TB Hard Drive and I had a second hard drive installed. I was talking to someone at sweetwater and he said because my processor is not intel that I could not use pro tools . Is this true ?
 
not sure about the processor thing, but there are many DAWs that can do what pro-tools can without worrying about silly things like that.
Your PC is good enough to do quite a bit and unless you need comparability with pro-tools,Id do some research.
