Sounds like a solid mix man. Did you have to edit the drums much? That guy's good. Something about the snare seems weird to me, but I can't put my finger on it. Maybe it's just an inconsistency thing. Some snare hits sound great, and some sound like unintentional rim shots, lol.
Hell, you know what you're doing. Mix sounds good to me.

No editing on the drums at all. The guy was very good. All played to a click track too.

Kind of sounds like the snare is set between full snare and tom (forgive my lack of terms, i'm not a drummer) lol.
Maybe different mic position on the snare may help out. Overall good sound though.

Hmmm, the only difference (as it sounds) is the drummer and perhaps 'how' he is playing. I know that hitting the heads in different locations can cause different sounds. Perhaps this is what he is doing to make it not sound right?
