Pro Audio 8 or Home Studio 2004?

Would Home Studio 2004 be an improvement over Pro Audio 8 performance-wise?

Yes, I believe it will give you alot more option to do MIDI and audio stuff... But it will be back to your need. What will you do ?

Think of HS2004 as Sonar in short trousers.

HS2004 now supports multi-input audio cards as well as having ASIO support.

It looks like an upgrade to HS2004XL wil be my birthday present. Roll on September

PA8 doesn't support WDM/ASIO drivers nor DXi plugins. I would be a waste to install it on a system running XP.

Agreed. PA8 doesen't even have stereo-tracks if I remember correctly.
