we don't need rest!!
Hopefully this'll work in this forum...

Who is printing directly on their CDRs and like the results, and what are you using?

wussup dude :)

.....Ive got an epsom printer that has a built-in cd printing attachment. It uses printable cd's (they have a thin paper veneer on em). It runs about a hundred bucks.
...They look pretty nice, not as clean as printing right on the plastic, but alot better than that neato shite.

yeah...I've seen those, and they seemed ok.. $99 at Best Buy...with the little CD tray.

I haven't really looked much at the printable CD's nowadays, and admitedly am kinda lacking the technical knowledge of what's out there for CD graphics. Basically, I have seen and found some sources for direct printing on CDrs in small runs that wasn't too bad....but still over a buck apiece.

I've basically used the Stomper stuff since day one, except for the stuff I've sent out to have done, etc.

I guess I'd really have to see a finished Epson job and decide whether I liked it or not.. Just haven't run across one yet.

thx Guern

You can ultimately get better print quality with the cd label sticker things, as you can get them in glossy photo paper. Though the coolness of having a printed CD, IMO, slightly outweighs the lower print quality, which is more dependent on the printable surface (in this case) than the printer itself.

Epson R200 is only $99 at Office Depot, Staples, Circuit City, Best Buy, etc......

I use a Primera Bravo. So far it has done an excellent job. FAR micer than stickers etc... Plus you can load it up with discs and let it burn, print and stack 25 per session:D
