Presonus Studio One...help!

I recently purchased a Presonus Audiobox USB, which came with the Presonus Studio One recording software. When I try to record, it pauses. Sometimes this happens after a few seconds, sometimes after a few minutes but basically it is stopping me from being able to record anything at all. It was suggested to me that I should change the power scheme on my PC but this has not helped. Has anyone had the same problem or does anyone have any ideas on how I can fix it. Any help would be much appreciated.

its not that common a DAW...Id ask on the Studio One forum..they are pretty quick at answering

When you say it pauses, do you mean it stutters, or stops altogether?
