Does anyone has some experiences with it?
What is the quality of the preamps and is it worth the money???

Hi Amala,
I got one and I'm very pleased with it. Never heard such great sounding unit before, the limiters are also great. It's easy to work with. The two 1/4" on the front are handy to have if you fast and easy want to record for example bass, just straight in. I'm a bassplayer myself and for the first time I really can hear what my Precision and Rickenbacker sounds like, it has always been a hell to get a nice bass sound, not now.

Remember it's only A/D conversion, so you need other stuff to do the D/A.

Thank you for a nice reply!

What do you mean by "other stuff"??
Do you have light version of Digimax($800) or the other one($1300)?

Basicaly I'm trying to build up a project studio and right now I'm using Digi001.What do you think, does that goes well with Digimax??

Thanx!

That should work perfectly with the 001. I believe you can lightpipe the Digimax into the 001. That should work really, really well.

Tons of people have the digimax on the digidesign user conference. I've never heard any negatives from them about it.

Guess you have the answer already, I'm not so familiar with Digidesign products myself. I use the Digimax with a RME Hammerfall and a Creamware A16 Ultra having the A16 for D/A conversion (monitoring) and extra in and outs, lightpiping it all together.

Logic Audio 4.8
Win 98 Lite
Athlon 1.4 GHz
Asus A7M266
512 MB DDR
Matrox G450 dual

This works absolutely perfect for me.
