Presonus Digimax Preamp... Yay? Neh?

I have the opportunity to pick up an Presonus Digimax 8X Preamp for pretty cheap ($350)... it's similar to this one, but a bit older (seperate 1/2 rack power unit)

no . presonus are not regarded as being quality.
you should focus on an RNP or two.
 
Presonus is quality enough for the average consumer, nothing wrong at all. In fact their customer service as top frickin notch. I'm just saying the pre's aren't all that great. The dmp3 is really nice but also not amazing, very very clean and useful though.
 
That's a great price for that unit. I'd say the pres are a little above average. One thing's for sure, it's way better than the Firepod.
