Why does everyone hate on this? ha!
I kinda like the sound it gives me with my C1.

with my DMP2, it sometimes is REALLY way to crisp vocals to be used the way I'd like. But the BLUETUBE makes it a little more rounded and warm feeling to me.

anyone care to share?

Other than the fact that mine caught on fire, I thought it was a reasonable unit. Better than Mackie pre-amps and nowhere near what I use now. It never even lasted 1 year. The "tube" function should be left off, and should have been left out altogether.

I upgraded to Avalon, Joe Meek, Fosusrite and the DMP3.

mine was ok. I don't use it anymore since I've gotten the Sytek and RNP, but it's not really too bad. Not quite as good as my Souncraft Powerstation pres but OK. I'm selling mine soon.

A shade better than Mackies. I used the overdrive on a drum machine snare once and it sounded cool, but otherwise, tube warmth, are they kidding?

I think what people hate about them is being hyped about a "feature" that really isn't useful. Of course, who's gonna sell a preamp, or buy one for that matter, advertised as a little better than generic?

I like to use mine as a Bass D.I.The kindest thing that I can say
about it is that I would rather have it than nothing at all.
