Anybody know how to do this? I am pretty new at audition, but I still can't figure out how to preroll to correct a spot in a song. Its hard for me to type enter and start playing my guitar at the exact same time. I know there should be something like this in the program, but I can't find it.

thanks Guys!

There is a simple and clear explanation in the manual. Look it up in the index.

But the word to look up is "punch" rather than preroll, I'd say.

No, I actually got to wondering about this "preroll" and looked it up in the (1.5) manual....

Thanks for the help ::THUMBS DOWN::

I checked and it gives me a definition of punch, and the preroll advice is for effects (to listen before and after they are applied).

I want to punch in to a song, but have 10 seconds of track play before hand so i can get into the groove before it starts recording. Anybody?!?!?

Thumbs Down

As I said, look up "preroll" in the manual's index. You will be directed to an entry that explains very clearly how to set preroll and postroll time.

From the manual:-

To punch into a range of a clip:

1. In the track display, select the range of the clip.
2. Choose Edit > Punch In.
3. Position the current-time indicator a few seconds prior to the selected range.
4. In the Transport Controls window, click the Record button Record button .
5. To punch in multiple takes, repeat step 4 for each take.
