Hello,

I'm searching for an alternative, other than a little mixer like a mackie, yamaha,etc... for a premix box like they used on the beatle recordings. It basically takes 4 inputs down to one single output. It should be a fairly simple unit with just 4 individual volume controls. If anyone has any knowledge or knows where to lead me I would much appreciate it. Thanks so much!!!

peace,
Trey Gray

Ultrasound made a box called a PAMM = Preamp Mini Mixer --

2 XLR mic inputs, 2 guitar inputs, and 2 line inputs with individual level controls for each and 3 band EQ for the mics. Has a single main out and a main level control. Also has RCA tape/CD inputs. Has 12v phantom power on the mic inputs as well.

I don't think it is a current product, but you can probably find one cheap on e-bay.

I have one and it works just fine for running additional sources through my Ultrasound guitar amp.
