precision drum tuner

Hey,
I am wonderin if anybody uses or has used the precision drum tuner or whatever it is called. What did you think? Does it actually help tune drums? Anyway, I can tune fairly well but if this device works then I might get one. Any info is appreciated.

These are good to have BUT:

It CANNOT be used as a replacement for the ears. Proper drum tuning is something that must be done first. That said, these tuners are nice for precision but not an absolute necessity.

I knew a drummer that got one got one of these once and acted like a crack addict about it....he HAD to have the dial at certain setting no matter what it sounded like. He wouldnt even tune by ear first.....just to the dial.

On the other hand, I know a studio drum teck who uses his ear first and then tweaks an already good sound into perfection with one of these. Very nice in this application.
