I bought a Focusrite Voicemaster Pro and it had a problem - I wrote about it in another thread, so I had to take it back to the shop. Instead of replacing it with the same thing, I have ordered a Twintrak Pro. I am really just looking for a decent preamp - not a compressor or anything like that as I can do it far more sufficiently with hight quality plugins. Can anyone see anything wrong with this? I realise that the Twintrack has far less features - including a very limited EQ and compression, but is there anything else that I should know about the Twintrak? I may get a desk with sufficient preamps in the future - something like the Mackie Onyx, so I might just end up selling it anyway, but right now, I just need 2 good quality preamps, for recording acoustic guitar etc, and also vocals.
