Ok I'm pretty new to home recording, I have actually been into it for a while, but just recently got some ok equipment. I have a presonus tubepre and had some questions on its functions, I have played with it to try to see which each thing did, but now I'd like to know what each fucntion does and what its for from someone who knows more...anyway here goes the functions on the tube pre are listed below.

pic: PreSonus Tube Pre Pic

Drive Knob

Gain Knob

Pad Button

O(zero) Button

80hz Button

+48v Button

Thanks for the help in advance, I got this as a gift and the person that got it bought it on ebay and didn't come with an instruction manual. Thanks

The drive knob will add more of the tube sound when turned up

The gain knob adjusts the output volume

The pad button inserts a pad that attenuates the signal. Use this if you have the gain and drive knobs all the way down but the level is still too hot.

The zero with a slash through it is the phase switch. It inverts the signal.

The 80Hz button is the low cut. It takes the low end away to get rid of wind noise and other stuff that might not be needed

The 48V button is the phantom power switch.

Didn't this thing come with a manual?
