Hi guys basically my budget was £30 originally so I purchased the behringer c-1u but unfortunately there was a problem with it which many others have experienced as I have seen from reviews..
So I have had to notch up my budget to £50-60.
So I have decided to go with the same mic but the Behringer C-1 so non-usb version.
I will be using the mic for vocals more specifically rapping and some singing.
Of course I will need phantom power for the mic to work..so now I am stuck on whether to buy a preamp or mixer..
So the mic will cost £30 and I am have in mind this behringer ultragain mic 100 which is also £30

Or this behringer xenyx 802 mixer..which is £40

So you can see the difference in price, and one is preamp and other mixer..Of course both have phantom power, at the moment the preaemp seems more appealing because of the various controls and knobs and simple way to control mic, whereas the mixer seems confusing with lots of knobs, and seems more ideal if I am powering more than one piece of equipment which I am not.
So which one would you suggest? Of course if you would go for neither, then please suggest what you would buy or have in mind . Or if you would suggest another mic non-usb or even USB such as samson co1u then please say
