Preamp for vocals?

I use Reaper and a Line 6 Toneport UX2 for all my recordings. I record my singers vocals with an Audio Technica AT4040 straight into the Toneport. I don't think the sounds we are getting right now are bad, but would a preamp for the mic enhance things for us at all? If so what would be a good one without spending too much money? Thanks!
 
Can I offer some sage advice that I've picked up by using the "search" function on this site.

Save your money, buy a VERY good pre straight off the bat and then never think about it again. All you then have to think about is technique. ;)
