pre amp tubes

I hope this doesn't sound like a stupid question but I have a 70's silver face twin reverb and I want to replace the 7025 tubes, but all I find are 12AX7's, is this the same tube as I'm lead to believe? And why does the tube chart call out for two 7025's when it also calls for two 12AX7's??
any help will be appreciated,
