Using this neat little freebie for a new use.

I've setup metronome click tracks til my eyes turned blue before.

Now that I'm getting around to recording stuff I wrote and helped write, I found a nice use for this little program. I used to use it to tab out bass lines for the bassist in the last band I was in (he had absolutely no ear and his mic was in the monitors only :D)

The current bassist and I tab out our parts setting the appropriate time signatures and tempo's as they change in the song. We do this even for the 4/4 numbers.

Once it's done, we smack the headphones on the drummer's head and let him record to the midi playback. Not only does it provide a metronome, but also a midi representation of the guitar & bass for a reference. We've just started this method, but I gotta say I'm awfully pleased at the moment :)

I can't afford a midi pickup and the niceties that go along with it, but I can just as well plug the numbers in by hand.

Thought I'd pass this along to those who may not have an adequate metronome system for changing time signatures/tempos in the middle of the song. Plus it's still great for emailing licks back and forth.

Thanks for the link! I'm always looking for a good and FREE guitar tabs..... I'm a guitar tab program junkie. Powertab is by far one of the better ones regardless of price. I have been using Guitar Pro for years, but I think I'm switching to Powertab. Better output.
