preferably the spb1

or something more on the low line like the b1 rather then something way expensive.

Not trying to be irritating but I heard a recording with a dynamic mic and would like to hear one of your recordings with a condenser.

Go to the MP3 forum. Most of the stuff recorded there is probably with budget condensors.

The vox you hear from the link in my sig is with a Rode NT3.

Is that the whole song with the $16 mic or just the vocals?

Just the vocals. Two takes, and then panned a bit LR (with a little too much verb if I do say so myself). Anyway, I think they're ok for my first go.

In the link in my sig, the 2nd song is The Time I Took. SP B1 OH.

I'm waiting on permission from "The Feds" to post part of an unreleased track from their new album, done with the MXL 990 as the main vocal mic.

Song Recorded (Almost) Entirely With SPB1 and SPC1

I had this as it's on link a few months back, but it's since been mastered...

I know there's much talk on this board about the Studio Projects B1s and C1s (everyone seems to either love them or hate them), so i figured I'd put up a tune our band has done using nothing but a B1 and C1 (save the snare drum (Shure SM57), the bass drum (Audio Technica Pro25, which seems to me to suck greatly) and the bass that was DI through a Berhinger Bass-Vamp)

Studio Projects B1: All acoustic guitars, 1 overhead over drums (near/above snare), Shakers and other percussions

Studio Projects C1: All Vocals, 1 overhead over drums (near/above toms)

Enjoy!

i appreciate it

Very nice! =P .. LOL I don't know how you get that nice, in your face, clean, rich sound. My recordings sound nothing like it. No matter how much I try and remix I can't get that rich sound HAH. What reverb do ya use?

Good job!

James

Everything you hear in THIS song, vocals and acoustic guitars was recorded with a SP B1

the same with THIS one.

The signal chain was...

SP B1, M-Audio TAMPA, DELTA 1010, CUBASE SX, DELTA 1010, ALLEN & HEATH SABER 24/16/16/2, DAT.

Best budget all rounder condenser I've ever used. I just keep trying it on different things and it usualy sounds great on everything.

OK, I'm at work now, but some time tomorrow (when I have time to collect my head..) I've actually got a track which I tracked with an Beta 57 and then dubbed with an NT2000... I shodl have that floating around somewhere... I'll get back to y'all...

the only song on there was recorded with a mxl 990 and 991.

vox with mxl 990.
guitar with both.

well those are the results i get from those mics with an m-audio buddy preamp and an audiophile2496.

but i'll probably be getting the firebox or possible something from m-audio but not tampa. i wonder if it'll still sound this good.

I like that Adonai song. They don't play it on the radio anymore though.
