First; Is running an amp head slave to another where you have the first amps output runing into the second amps input? Are there any particulars with this kind of thing that could blow up tube amp? Like a tube can't run 'slave' into a solid state of different wattages or something?

Second; Is it possible to take a double male ended headphone jack style and take the 1/4" adapter into my amps line out and plug the other one into my lap tops 'microphone' jack and record with that through gold wave? Has this even ever been tried?

thanks :)

I don't know how you slave an amp but I don't think running the cab out to an input would be a good thing. Blowed up man! Marshall's circuit lets you slave channels - at least my Plexi does - but it's the second input of channel one to the first of channel two. I think you could take that signal to a second amp but you sure wouldn't tap off the power run.

Taking a line out to your sound card should be fine. Watch yer levels.

No, your description is not clear but, slaving an amp means taking a "LINE" level output from 1 amp into the "INPUT" of the input of the second amp usually the first amp is a pre with a desirable sound and the second is a power amp - or - where you are chaining a signal from amps to drive multiple speakers. If you take a speaker output from amp 1 and plug it into the line input of amp 2 bad things will happen.
The MIC input on your laptop is designed to accept MIC level sigals (usually very sensitive) and not line level signals as you suggest so it will not sound good.

In summary for the first question - why?
For the second question - invest in an interface it will improve your life and make you happy.
No sarcasm intended.
