(possibly)'Then I'd Believe'

this is the first song i've ever shared with anyone, aside from 1, and its obviously & totally not complete

its in its early beginnings, part of the lyrics i'll post below and then part of the guitar through youtube, i apologize that its not mp3, hope this is ok for now

the guitar video recording has obvious flaws, i recognize those, it was just one of those things awhile ago when i sat down & played spontaneously and had to get it recorded quickly, so please forgive me for its flaws, i truly recognize them, and the fixing of all that will come later

along with the guitar in the video, wanted to add later, some lows, and electric etc.

well anyway here are the unfinished lyrics and one unfinished guitar part (please bear with the occasional tooling around), was just wondering if people dig how the jist of the guitar & lyrics fit together (for now) (adding more later) thanks

Well you can play the guitar...and its a decent enough riff but i wouldnt even know where the lyrics would fit in...you should have just sang along ;)

I hope the song's about a stranger!


Have you any method of recording other than this?

thanks,the beginning lyrics are the beginning, (heavier, no accoustic), then 'then i'd believe' falls into the rest

later into it... 'then i'd beleeeeeeve yeah', 'then i'd beleeeeeeeev uh', etc.,
then i'd believe

singing along other than in my head is not possible at this moment, no privacy, and neighbors would hear :o:cool::eek:

yeah its about a stranger:)

no other method of recording other than this, but am learning alot from the bare essentials at the moment, so hopefully it will help when there is some other recording method

its not mediocre...its not a song yet..you have a pc...cant you get hold of a cheap mic?


I have tons of free recording software, Computer magazine gives a free sequencer just about every month with effects, guitar amps. synths etc..Ill post you one of their discs if you wanted?

In fact one month was Samplitude 10SE...great programme for recording


I know what you mean about privacy...I sang random lyrics to a tune this afternoon so I wouldnt forget the melody..when I took my headphones off I could hear the neighbours kids laughing in the hallway...you need a brass neck to record in an apartment I tell you :)

i can't get ahold of a cheap anything, unless its free at the moment, situations situations situations....thanks for recomendations. I'm thinking of downloading a trial of reaper, but still need alot of other stuff

about privacy lol, yeah, i actually went into my bathroom with a vid recorder to try & record the lyrics, too many interuptions, and then i remembered the card was full, so i need to save up for one of those too


but somehow today most of the essentials for now are saved inside of me, it's hopefully heavier deeper thrash than metallica mixed with variations of whatever i posted above, til tuesday, and stevie nicks

not on purpose, so far inside it just ends up being that way, and that's what it reminded me of anyhow after the fact, sort of looking forward to when its done, if so still not my favorite, but not the worst?

It's a very nice little riff (what I can hear of it :p) but that camera audio just ain't gonna cut it...wish I still had my old 4-track...I'd give it to you, plus a couple of tapes just to get you started.

Anyway, I can't really say how the lyics would fit without hearing them together with the guitar. Build up some structure around that riff and see what you got. Good luck :).
