hi there
i have now got my recording studio setup, but i would like to enhance it further by getting 2 screens for my computer to make it easier to run etc.
the one thing is i dont really know what to look for. i know i need a card that enables multi screens in the 1st place, plus it needs to have a fair amount of memory so my computer doesnt go really slow, say 64MB. the thing is though, whenever i search on websites for cards with multi screen outputs, these also have functions like video output etc, which i do not need and costs more money.
does anyone know of any multi screen graphics cards for a reasonable price without all the extra things whcih i dont need? if you do if you could reply back that would be great! thanks guys

Back when I tried to get in to computer audio, this card was talked about quite a bit. It may be obsolete now. I'm not sure but it may be a good starting point. You could also scope out the ATI RAEDON website. They make graphics cards that can do what you need.

Good Luck,
Chris

I have four monitors, connected to two dual-head video cards, all nvidia based.

I highly recommend the PNY nvidia based cards, they have a lot of memory, are very stable with the nvidia reference drivers, and have built-in cooling fans which is necessary for smaller, tighter PC's like my shuttle XPC studio PC.

Oh, and they are cheap!

ATI also makes a decent chipset for those on a budget. My new Video-card is ATI chipset-based and at >200$ was a good deal. 256mb 128bit 2 monitor outs +video

PS most new video cards that are worth a damn have on-board fans and heat sinks now-a-days
