I posted a short classical piece a little ways back... I think I might have fleshd it out to make it more "finished"

has 3 movements/parts...

any feedback is cool... fire away (nomex suit on, lol)

I call it "String's Rebellion"...

PS - I also did a couple of piano driven pieces, and figurd I'd toss this one out... mainly because this was my first attempt at using a relative major against the overall minor tonality of the piece, and I dont think i am doing it quite right... any hints or tips would be appreciated in that regard to this piano piece...

called it "forgotten" so I can find it in my hard drive... too many "untitled" pieces in there already. LMAO

Nice work Sedstar!

There is a lot of musical interest happening within this piece. The foundation is that four note motif that starts it off; C F Eb G. From here we get a progressive development in melodic complexity, and in textures as various instruments take this motif and modulate and twist it.

You have managed to engineer a lot of space into this, with some welcome dynamic changes, e.g. 1:41 as the flutey thing takes the lead, then specially at 2:20 where we hear the woodwind part skip along in a little duet of their own, before everything comes charging in again as we head to the climactic end.

This is a well constructed piece and I enjoyed listening to it!

With your permission, I would mind experimenting in using it as a soundtrack for a short video: I'm kind of seeing the pictures in my head at the moment. I've got to get the camera out and start fidning the scenes I can see in my head.

....

EDIT: yes (blink, blink) its C F Eb G... how in the ^%$# do you DO THAT ?!?!?! Do you have a meter in your software, or do you have perfct pitch ears?? 'Cos if thats yer ears, thats a pretty serious gift...

Hey man, make a porno if you want, and "pimp me out", LMAO

but seriously, by all means go and make anythgn you want with it Geck, I'd be honored. (or, in waynes world talk *I'm not worthy*, lol) remember, if I'm ever rich off of this stuff, *you get a shopping spree* for some equipment... well, you and some young guy from Cypress off the coast of Turkey...

I havent got any bad reviews yet on this on GB, but... only standard nag by "they" is "its like an intro... I wanna hear the rest" (this IS the rest now, lol)

I may have to re-enter this longer one to see if i get better reviews (man, do I want to unseat that guy thats #1 forever from florida... he has been there FAR too long for my tastes, LMAO)

PS - the piano piece at the end of my post... disregard that, it was "premature". 12 hours later, I found a much better piano sound, I'll email you a piano track or two to see if its worth keeping the new piano sound.

cant wait to see the video... porn? hunting video? I'm so excited I could just pee my pants, LMAO

whoa, cool. Thanks.

any chance I could get the video clip emailed or if too big, I could download it somewhere? I am no expert, but I *think* if I just burn a "standard" video file to a CD I can pop it in a DVD player anywher and watch it...

*shrugs* never saw what my name looks like in a credits roll... LMAO

thanks Geck.

Nice work as always, SEDStar. I been a fan of New Age music for well over a decade, and your music certainly qualifies in that genre. I could easily hear both pieces on XM radio's Spa (new age) channel.

Good stuff! :)

Cheers,
Joseph

I liked the earlier version and you have moved it on. Still like it. It sounds like a finished piece to me but you know how it is - you can go on 'adding to/tinkering with' forever!

I think that must be even truer of orchestral type pieces than simple songs.

Good sounds anyway and lovely video to go with it! Strange how music and water go together so well.
