Not quite sure this belongs here, but all these forums seem to be pretty knowledgable so I'll give it a shot...
Just got a Cellular phone mono mic/headphone with a 2.5mm jack, and I'm wondering why there are no adapters available so I could plug it into my soundcard mic in and headphone 3.5mm plugs, then use it for internet telephony or maybe voice recognition, etc., since I don't want to buy a seperate headset for that.
Is there a technical reason it's infeasible, or could I build an adapter with Radio Shack goodies? I think the PC mic-in jack carries a small voltage to a PC mic, so is that the problem?
thanks...
