possible latency problem...?

ok guys, Ive loved everything about my firepod untill the other day I was trying to lay a 2nd guitar over top of somethin else recorded. Im stil testing and getting the feel for it b4 i open back up and start tracking. When im recording to the playback the recorded music slowly gets farther and farther off from the oringal as the song goes on... I really cant think of anything to do... Ideas?

DAW software? Sounds like you have have a samplerate bandwidth mismatch. Make sure your recording at the same frequency (16/44.1 24/48 etc) as the track

im using sonar 4 and cuebase LE. Havent tried cuebase to see if the problem is there also. IM pretty sure its set up right in that respect, but ill check.
