you really only can use this when u have a hardware mixer with 4 or better 8 subbusses. Dont try to use the Aux-sends for emulating busses, you will not get good results.

Why do u need a hardware mixer at all? The ews24 has 8 in's, doesn't it?
So i guess its better u plug in your synths directly and buy yourself a good mic pre and a Pod6 for the same money. You can use the audio mixer of say Logic or sonar instead of the hw-mixer.
 
The mixers outputs are quarter inch. I was going to buy adapters to change the quarter inch to eigth inch if you get what I am saying I'm cofused. Thanks Matt
 
matt - i just ordered the behringer mx802...its got 4 pre's, and one main stero out (aka 2 1/4" plugs)....I'm just gonna stop by trusty old radio shack to pick up 2 1/4" male plugs to a 1/8" male plug to go into my crappy old soundcard.

And while i'm here...can anyone suggest to me a decent soundcard for 100 or under, with a line/speaker out (i'd hook it up to a reciever for speakers).......and one line in (mixer to the soundcard)? Looking for the best quality, not a ton of inputs/outputs.
 
yeah, all those little short adapters from them are usually around 5 bucks..more or less.
