Hello and a sweet evening to all!..

...Now that my bands are getting somewhere, and playing tightly together has become an issue, I've thought recording rehealsals is a must...
Now, I own an MR8HD by fostex, and I'm just awaiting delivery of a Mackie vlz pro 16-band.

The Fostex is a bit drag to carry around, so I was thinking that can I get a decent enough recording straight from mixer--->to some portable digital recorder, like:

ZOOM H 4, or EDIROL R-1, or EDIROL R-09??? or like?...

Tascam US-122 or US-144... relatively cheap and you can get some decent recordings out of them.

The thing is, it should be capable of recording to its own memory (flash?) for about an hour or one and a half, At least two tracks (stereo). If'd be taking a laptop i might as well take the mr8hd?...

I have a Zoom H4 that I won in a giveaway on another Forum - I haven't played with it very much but it's just what you seem to need. With a 2 gig SD card you can get anywhere from almost an hour (24 bit/96khz) to 70 hours (64kbps MP3) and anything in between, depending on your format and bit-rate settings. What results I have gotten so far, though, make me very encouraged about what I'll be able to do once I learn it a little better.
